The devastating Easter Flood of 1979 is an unforgettable part of
@VisitJacksonMS history. The Pearl River crested and flooded the city’s downtown that April. As expected, the community rose above the devastation. And Entergy, then Mississippi Power & Light, employees were there, fighting to protect the community’s electric power supply. #TBT #ThrowbackThursday

Indian Point Unit 3 began supplying electricity to the grid again after its 20th and final refueling/maintenance outage. About 900 skilled workers supplemented ~1K Entergy employees to complete refueling and other maintenance.
Pictured above is the top of one of 92 new fuel assemblies loaded into Unit 3’s reactor during the outage.

For those who like to work outside, last week was a good time to get things done. This #WorkerWednesday, we're highlighting Central Arkansas linemen who concentrated their efforts on equipment upgrades that will improve reliability for customers in the Wrightsville area south of #LittleRock.

We're continuously modernizing our grid to reduce the frequency and length of customer outages. This #WorkerWednesday, we're looking at a piece of equipment - the recloser - that our crews install to temporarily open a line when an outage takes place. During the outage, other reclosers kick in to reroute power around the trouble spot, preventing additional damage to equipment. #WePowerLife
