A/C Tune Ups Can Help Make Your Entergy Bill Go Down

An efficient air conditioner doesn't just keep you cool – it lasts longer and is more reliable. Plus, it saves you money on cooling costs with a lower monthly bill.

That's why Entergy Arkansas offers the CoolSaver program to help single family site-built homes to improve the efficiency of your air conditioner or heat pump through a high efficiency air conditioner tune-up performed by a trade ally. CoolSaver pays up to $175 of the tune up’s cost on the customer’s behalf.

Generally, CoolSaver air conditioner tune-ups include:

  • Airflow correction.
  • Cleaning of the indoor blower, evaporator coils and condenser coils.
  • Refrigerant correction.

After the tune-up, most customers will see reduced cooling costs, extended equipment life and better humidity control. Historically, residential Entergy customers who participated in CoolSaver saved an average of $117 a year per air conditioner and increased the cooling output of their system.

All Entergy Arkansas customers with a valid account number whose central air conditioning system are at least one year old are eligible, unless their air conditioner has received a CoolSaver tune-up in the past five years.

The CoolSaver tune-up must be performed by a participating trade ally who will then subtract $175 from the invoice for their services. The incentive amount does not cover any possible associated repair costs needed to make the unit function normally to be eligible for the tune-up.
